Congrats Jamen!

A long 16 months has finally come to an end. Jamen's probationary tests have finally come to an end. He just received word today that he has successfully completed all of his tests and feels a huge sigh of relief and accomplishment. This has been a very challenging, yet rewarding year for us and I am so excited and proud of my husband. Good job, honey! I love you and appreciate all your hard work. Congrats!

Accomplished...

The Finish!
Going up again
Med Check/5.7 miles into the run, 5.5 to go!
The Start

My friend, Amy and I ran a very challenging 11.2 mile run on Angel Island today. This was our first race and a thigh/calf burning run. The hills were much steeper than we had trained, due to our lack of hills in Fresno, but the view was an amazing trade-off.

The experience was amazing and it is so nice to say that we completed a challenge that we have trained for since August. I have to say that I am looking forward to a week off of running and I am looking forward to the next race!

Giving Thanks..

There is so much to be thankful for this year. I am so thankful for my husband, he is my best friend that looks beyond my flaws and is always supportive when I feel the need to challenge myself. I am grateful for my two beautiful daughters, they challenge me everyday, but bring such joy to my life with the sweet smiles, gentle hugs and kisses and the milestones that quickly pass. I am thankful for my family, for their love, support and understanding. I am thankful for the Gospel, which gives me guidance and comfort. I am thankful for my friends and now understand that friends can become family. There is so much to be grateful for, health, employment, happiness, peace, a home and charity. I am extremely grateful for the Lord and his constant love. Lastly, I am grateful for forgiveness and the possibilities to overcome obstacles through prayer and patience.

I hope that everyone has enjoyed their holiday and that we all have cherished our time with family. We love you and wish you all well!

The Mall..

We took the Bailey and Jordan to the mall to play a few Fridays ago because it was too cold to play at the park. Jordan is discovering her independence and loving every minute of it.

Hangin' with Daddy...

Now that I am back in school Jamen had even more one on one time with the girls' and they LOVE it.

Firefighter's Creating Memories...

Jamen & Hector

Captain Young (Jamen's current Captain) & Hector
Jamen, Captain Young, Captain Young's son & the whole family

Jamen had the best experience volunteering for a very special program that gave children with delays or disabilities the opportunity to have a night with a few FireFighters at the fair. The trip was paid for through a program called "Firefighters creating memories." The family had dinner, wristbands to go on unlimited rides, and treats to go with it. It is so nice to have a husband that enjoys giving back to the community.

Daddy's Biggest Fans...

Jamen was at work the other day and Bailey said, "mommy I am a Firefighter just like Daddy because I have the shirt." So sweet...

I think she is in love....

We went to my mom's house for my cousin's wedding and had a great time. Bailey went swimming and had a blast with the horses. She reminds me of myself when I was little. I just can't seem to pull her away. I am really happy that she loves them the way I do.
